Smoothie Bowl
What's one way you can get all your nutritional needs in a quick and easy-to-make meal?
Yep, you know it! Smoothies!
Here's my go-to smoothie bowl recipe!
Ingredients
1-1.5 cups nut milk or filtered water (I use the Pure Harvest or Nutty Bruce brand)
1 cup frozen berries
1 frozen banana (or boiled & frozen zucchini for sugar free option if regulating your blood sugar is an issue)
1 scoop vegan protein powder (I use the RAW brand)
1 tablespoon chia seeds
1 tablespoon hemp seeds
1 tablespoon flaxseed meal (store in the fridge to prevent from oxidation)
1 teaspoon slippery elm
1 tablespoon PHGG fibre (start with 1 teaspoon if you're new to this)
1/4-1/2 an avocado
Gluten-free muesli/granola (Brookfarm gluten-free muesli or Good Mix Blend 11 or Blend 13)
Blend all the ingredients together (except the muesli) in a blender or nutribullet. Pour into a bowl and top with the muesli. You can also add chopped fruit on top.
